The Anglican parish church of St. Michael the Archangel is fortunate to possess a particularly fine and recently built 50 rank three-manual organ with mechanical action. The organ was built by Anton Skrabl of Slovenia and has received widespread praise. The School also has access to several other quality pipe organs in the area.
Regular teaching takes place, both for PipeUp students and others, using the Skrabl organ and also other instruments in nearby churches.
A concert will be given by students at St. Michael the Archangel on Sunday October 15 2017 at 3pm.
Recording now available - recitals from event on Sunday September 21st
Talented students aged between 12 and 17 played a varied programme including music by JS Bach (Fantasia in G minor), Mendelssohn, Flor Peeters, and much more.
Recordings from this concert can be accessed here: https://soundcloud.com/pipeup-south-west/sets/recital-21-09-14
From the picture of the church drawn in 1833 and the photo of the present organ taken from the altar, you can see the intended similar case design.
New organ by Skrabl.
